The CMC Rescue MPD™ is an innovative, all-in-one rope rescue device that integrates a pulley, rope grab, and descender/belay into a single unit. Designed for professional rope rescue technicians, the MPD enables seamless transitions from lowering to raising without changing or reconfiguring hardware—reducing complexity, saving time, and improving system reliability under load.

A high-efficiency pulley with an integral rope-locking mechanism allows the MPD to function as a lowering device on main and belay lines, then quickly convert into a raising system. Variable-friction descent control provides precise handling during rescues and rappels, while the built-in becket supports the creation of mechanical advantage systems.

Available in two models to suit 11 mm or 13 mm rope, the MPD delivers robust performance with high strength ratings across all load paths.
