The Petzl ASCENSION® Handled Ascender is a rope clamp designed for rope ascents and occasional hauling in technical rescue and rope access systems. Featuring a wide, overmolded ergonomic handle, it provides a comfortable, powerful grip for efficient upward movement on the rope.

Available in left-handed and right-handed versions, the ASCENSION integrates multiple attachment points to support versatile system configurations. The lower holes allow connection of a work positioning lanyard and installation of a foot loop, while the upper attachment hole supports pulley/rope clamp combinations or rope guidance—making it a dependable component for ascent and progress capture tasks.
