The Petzl I’D series self-braking descenders are engineered for professional rope access and technical rescue operations where precise descent control, load management, and user safety are critical. Featuring an integrated anti-panic function and multi-function handle, the I’D allows controlled descent, easy movement on inclined or horizontal terrain, and secure work positioning without tying off.

The anti-panic function activates only if the handle is pulled too hard, automatically stopping descent to reduce the risk of user error. Both models also incorporate an anti-error catch to help prevent incorrect rope installation.
